Creative Design R&D

As part of the Creative Design R&D team in the U.S., I work on delivering intuitive, scalable, and user-centered solutions that support DENSO’s commitment to quality and future mobility. Our team is responsible for creating visual and interaction design systems that evolve with both business needs and user expectations.

In my role as a UX Researcher and Designer, I combine my creative background with human-centered research practices to design experiences that are both meaningful and data-driven. I focus on identifying user pain points, translating insights into actionable design, and aligning outcomes with DENSO’s vision of mobility that’s safe, efficient, and sustainable.

UX/UI DESIGN

Fleet Management System

At DENSO, I contributed to the design of a Fleet Management experience as part of the Connected Mobility Platform (CMP) in collaboration with Verizon. This initiative aimed to improve how fleet operators manage their vehicles through more connected, intelligent systems.

As a UX/UI Designer, my focus was on creating interfaces that balanced technical depth with usability, especially for busy fleet managers and drivers in operational environments. I was responsible for turning complex telematics and vehicle data into intuitive visualizations and workflows that supported real-time decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting stakeholder interviews to align design direction with operational needs

  • Mapping workflows and user journeys for different roles in the fleet ecosystem

  • Designing features that visualized real-time vehicle status, alerts, and route data

  • Collaborating with developers to ensure smooth integration of live data streams

One of the biggest challenges was presenting dense, real-time data in a way that was clear, accurate, and actionable. Through iterative prototyping and user testing, I helped refine functionality and layout decisions to improve clarity under various use cases.

UX RESEARCH

Experience from Denso

My exploration of the U.S. social and mobility society has been a journey of uncovering complexity, diversity, and untapped opportunities. Unlike countries with centralized approaches, such as Japan, the U.S. presents a mosaic of distinct challenges shaped by vast geographical, cultural, and socio-economic differences. From urban congestion to rural isolation, the mobility landscape reflects deep societal divides, highlighting issues like equitable access, environmental sustainability, and technological adaptation.

What stands out most to me is the complex interplay between innovation and systemic challenges. While technological advancements pave the way for transformative mobility solutions, they often coexist with deeply rooted issues like infrastructure gaps and inequities. This tension underscores the importance of thoughtful, user-centered design that bridges these divides and creates meaningful progress.

As a designer, this understanding shapes how I approach mobility solutions. Design with empathy, ensuring that solutions address not just functional needs but also societal pain points. The human side of mobility—how it impacts lives, communities, and innovations— is what fuels my passion to create.

My Roles

    1. Trend in USA Mobility, Smart Cities, opportunity building, contributes to workshops and events

    2. Software UX/UI: User/Usability testing. driven by Quan and Qualitative output

    1. Analyze and present key findings in the tools through user research and present the final designs with usability testing results

    2. Collaborate to support iteration and on and improvements to project deliveries

    3. Gather Qualitative and quantitative insights from data analysis then apply to designs products/services, create feasible solutions with the team

    • Completed feature design of Connected Mobility Platform (Fleet Management)

    • Contributed to the development and enhancement of Fleet Tracking Software for Verizon, improving functionality and user interface.

    • Designed and implemented various internal tools and brandings including websites, 3rd party software, product designs, and branding materials, enhancing organizational efficiency and brand consistency.
